The shot of the chickadee was a result of feeders close by and the bird waiting to partake of the sunflower seeds. The wooded area behind our house provided the background. This is one of my best so far but always looking for ways to improve. Comments and suggestions appreciated. Taken with a Nikon D7000 300mm F4 lens, 1/320, 800 ISO, -1/3 exposure, F8 aperture. Thanks so much.

I know it probably wasn't intentional, but I love how the darker green near the top and below the
chickadee form a sort of frame around the bird. That top dark patch actually kind of looks like a
mouth about to swallow the little guy :)

Excellent DOF and fine detail, good light on the bird. The background is a little too saturated for my taste, it seems to be a little too dominant. The perch is perhaps a little dull and large, if possible try to get a finer twig and possibly one with a few new shoots or lichens/mosses - anything to add a little interest. In general small birds need fine perches and larger birds correspondingly larger branches/perches.

The chickadee looks really good with a good exp., nice head turn and sharp. The Bg is a little too saturated and a bit noisy and the perch is a little large.
