I spy!!!!

A newborn elephant in-between the legs of it's mum and aunty. The skin is covered in smegma, the red eye and the patch of jaundiced skin behind the eye are all indicators of the recent birth. I was extremely lucky to have seen this event. This is a different image to the one I previously posted

Mark - what a great sighting and experience. I like the intimate feel of this and the great detail, including peach fuzz. Again, I might be tempted to go a bit tighter from below as an alternate crop.

Hi Mark,
Prefer this one over the previous post. Both are very nice but this one has direct, intimate eye contact. Seems to have that dazed "what the heck just happened to me, where the heck am I, and what the heck is that guy pointing at me" look. Color and detail look real good.

Hi Mark, for me it's all about the eye and therefore as Rachel mention, personally a tighter crop I feel would also work (3x2 ratio), giving emphasis/strength to the overall composition.

Hi Mark, I thinks it's better, but like you, I initially kept the folded ears in, but then you clip the trunk sadly. I do like keeping the OOF body in on the RHS so it helps to frame things, but would be tempted to come in even more on the LHS to give a firmer and defined edge, so, just a thought...
