Dollarbird
The Spit Nature Reserve, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
This high perch, the top of a dead tree provided a good lookout for flying insects.
I had to get of the track and venture into the low scrub to get close. I was always on the lookout for the deadly brown snakes that love this area. Thankfully I did not see any on this occasion.
