Here is another Bee-eater image from my trip to the Pilanesberg National Park over the weekend. This was captured against a water BG, and the green OOF parts are lilly pads. Not the biggest catch, but Im sure he enjoyed it. I captured this vertically in camera.

I just love these birds and even more to see them captured so well. The colors are fantastic. Great use of DOF to get insect to tail looking so sharp. Great perch and beautiful smooth blue water background to set the reds and yellows off. Nice catchlight too. The blue works so well I would love to see an all blue background not taking anything away from this wonderful image.

The bird almost feels like a colorful extension of the bird . Nice colors on the bird , lovely pose .

Wow!!! Excellent shot Stuart. I really like the pose and perch. Wonderful background, great light, and great timing to get it with its catch.
Very well done.

Gorgeous image, Stuart. Sharp, great colors. The catch adds a lot. I like white lilies, they break the monotonousness of the plane blue water.

Lovely colors and detail bud. Really pops from the blue BG!

You captured all of the colors on this bird perfectly. Great to see the prey. I like the BG and the perch is cool but maybe a little long.

Fantastic color, excellent sharpness, and nice head angle. Prey is a bonus. I don't mind the lilies to the left of the frame, but I'd consider removing the horizontal line to the right of the bird.

Sharp feathers and nice pose and perch. I might have cropped a bit of the perch to add impact. You seem to have both enjoyed your catch!:S3:
