Full Frame with slight CCW rotation.
PP in LR3 (+.20 on exposure), CS5 and detail extractor to head only at 5% and tonal contrast at 10% on bottom third of snow only.
I love this picture. I know the bird is slightly past me and body is angled away slightly but I love the details shown in both wings. It is like wearing a great dress where some of the best details of the dress are seen from the back! The girls will get this analogy:S3:

I like it too! Sharp, well exposed, intense stare, very good use of Color Efex Pro. I like the texture you have brought out in the FG snow.
In a perfect world, a sliver more room below would be nice (I know you don't have it here)

Because of the direction of the stare, you could crop a bit from the left.
