Created in the gardens of Savegre Mountain Lodge, Costa Rica

Bit tight but still pretty; was shot close/tight. Love the flower species, anyone know what it is?

Cute birds and glad I got a shot of them though they are common

Richard I have never seen one before..nice setting and IQ looks great the perch shows advent of spring season...Sparrow is little too big in frame for my taste...I would back out on sharpening a bit...

Nice perch, bg & sharp subject. Love the feather details there. Sparrow looks bigger that its size.

Hi

OK had another creative (lol) g; as I said was shot a bit close. I have added to top and bottom, and reduced SS

Appreciate your posts

Even with the repost, I still find the bird too tight in the frame. The head angle is also not ideal, where a look more downward and to the right (your left), would have strengthened this image greatly. Sharpness and background look good on the repost, but the plant obstructing the tail is distracting.

Points noted Ryan, thank you for your critique
(things to think on next time) - not to worry though I have many more :S3:

Interesting looking bird with lovely colors. Other than tail also a nice clean shot with lovely bg. Repost looks better although I might add a bit on right as well. Good for you to get a bird you wanted.

Hi Richard,
repost is better. I can see some cloning marks in LLC and under bird's right foot.. I know you love the flower but it overpowers the bird and hides the tail. Please show us some more of this lovely bird,
Gail
