Excellent image of Owl in it's environment.Bg and grass in front of bird gives beautiful 3D effect . Lovely composition.Love the bird ,colorscheme and great feel of dried forest.

I am happy with the crop as is and the grass in the face works with this environmental capture. Would it have been even better without the grass in the face? Probably but it is still a strong picture as presented.

Dave, I like this shot a lot. very nice environmental image....does a good job of telling the story. If mine, I'd try reducing the contrast a bit.
