Seems as though they stayed through the 80-90 degree temps this past week.

Image created this morning with a bit of sun coming in from behind me and left, solid gray overcast to the west.

What a great perch and i love the way he positioned himself there. Great composition and I am glad you kept all of the tree and put him to the left.

Love the eye contact..... the effect of the light, adds a lot to the image. Exposure is spot on.

Nice job on all counts, Jim. Really like the comp, the different setting, the IQ, the curving feet. Lovely portrait.

I was thrilled to get a moment of light on the bird with such a dark steely gray / blue background.......that got me excited when I saw it setting up through the viewfinder.

Jim:

Lovely bird, good perch, love the foot display, eye contact. Good shooting angle for being on the top of a tree!

Amazing that the hot weather didn't encourage them to go north.

Cheers

Jim, I always open your shots with high hopes. this one certainly did not disappoint. beautiful bird and composition. Whites looks great. some noise under the tail but a very minor issue.

I think if you work large, then there might be some opportunity to improve one pupil.

Great shot with a different look to it.
It looks good on the Juniper.
