Cropped, contrast, cloned out some spectral highlights here and there, blurred the BG, smart and high-pass sharpening.

Many caterpillars have developed false eyes as a deterrent to predators. When a bird or other predator comes upon something like this, they many think they're looking at a snake or something else that might fight back. This was shot last summer.

Cool image Ken, sharp with a good exp., a lot of fine detail on the leaf and the hairs of the cat. Incredible is the transformation that takes place from this to flying adult.

Nice and close and super cool. I would have lliked to see a bit more dof on the body.

I think you nailed this one, Ken. I can't think of a thing to change about it. You did a great job of controlling the flash.

Hi Ken...great detail and sharpness in the face....I too would like to have seen more DOf on the body of the caterpillar

Hi Ken,
I think you nailed it too. Primary focus is where it should be...great use of flash as well. I like the placement of the caterpillar in the frame and the leaf detail as well.
