Bar-tailed Godwit - Limosa lapponica

1D MKIV, 600mm IS, 1.4x II, Skimmer.

I haven't been very active here lately...... Mostly lurking in the shadows :e3
BPN still has to be the no.1 avian forum on the interwebs, the photos presented and the knowledge and opinions shared. I've learnt a lot from the generosity of super enthusiastic participants.
The images on display push me to strive for better each time I'm out in the field.

Thanks :bg3:

I like the simple elegance of this shot. Some might take issue with the centralized bird, but I do not count myself among that group of aesthetes. Very nice soft light. Nice feathers. This image pleases my eyes...

A nice image. I might add a bit of blacks to the neutrals in selective coloring in photoshop to make the bird pop a bit more. I would like to see the bird moved slightly to the right of the frame. Love the pose and soft gentle feel of the surroundings,
Gail

Good advice from Gail but I also like it just like it is. I love the dof in this shot.
