I thought I'd post one more image before I head off tomorrow for 2 weeks in Costa Rica. :S3: This Marbled Orbweaver (Araneus marmoreus) was photographed last fall before freezeup in a light-tent studio setup (before I switched over to my lightbox setup). 7D, 100 mm macro, 1/250, f/16, ISO 100, MT24-EX. All comments are welcome and appreciated.

Out of all the spiders the orb weavers are my favorite. I mean, you know...for a CREEPY CRAWLY SPIDER they are my favorite. (I'm guessing the reading of Charlotte's Web at an early age has something to do with that...) This one is really outstanding...hardly anything to be scared of here, right? The only negative I can see that bothers me at all is that he looks a bit off kilter...maybe a slight CCW rotation is needed? It's hard to tell with those little pinchy things on the end of it's feet but I feel it's leaning just a wee bit to the right.

Everything else is great...you totally rocked this one, Steve!

Wow! I especially like the white bg. That light tent works great.
