Great angle from the bird and a real nice BG. Like how you've shown how they use their tail feathers for leverage.

Very nice Jim. I like the clean BG and IQ. Nice detail in the feathers and good colors throughout. How many species did you see in CR? You are like an unpaid promotional ambassador for CR by posting images of these beautiful birds and making people like me want to travel to CR!

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. Gail I didn't keep track of the amount of birds. Costa Rica is a must for photographing birds and you will have to get down there.

Nice image but I would have liked to see more of the bird and less of the tree. Is too light and it distracts a bit. I do like the clean BG and sharp details on the bird's face a lot.
