I've had these birds in front of me and not seen them until they blink, they have amazing camo...very nice capture
The upraised leg, habitat background are pluses..I might sharpen the bill a bit...but thats just my suggestion.

NIK Tonal Contrast at 100% on the bird only. The crop minimized the lighter BKGR areas. Sharpened. You did well with the somewhat awkward angle of the bird to the film plane. Sharp. EXP good.

Good shot Dan. I like the raised foot and the exposure. I agree with Paul about selectively sharpening the bill. You certainly did well getting that much of the bird in focus at f 5.0.I like the browns and tans in this image,
