Found these in a local pond yesterday...my first shot of the species and glad to see the odes emerging for the warmer weather.

Hi Allen. Great job capturing this behavior - cool to see the female actually laying eggs! Also, a nice job of handling the exposure in the mixed light. You might try a little more sharpening on the head of the male, but overall, this is very well done.
It will be a while yet before I see anything like this - our lake are still frozen solid. :S3:

It's always nice to see the first odes of the season! Nice behavioral shot. In addition to extra sharpening on the male's head, I would try to tone down the dead reed....as it is now, it's the brightest thing in this image so my eye is pulled right to it.

I've heard that these are migratory so the first seen are usually not from our region.
