This one is really special. Love the high wings, BG is killer, not so sure about the foreground. Did you have more in front? Would love to see it landscape, cropped above the foreground, with more room in front. But nothing takes away from the wonderful detail on the bird. Great shot.

Well captured Dave in pleasing light, agree on distracting FG where perhaps a landscape comp maybe better if not F/F?

Love this image. I wish it was mine. Love the tones, the sharpness of the bird and the wing position.

Real nice shot. Great flight pose, nice light, and very nice complementary background.
Well done.

Great habitat image! The empty bright area at the bottom is a bit distractinng IMO.

Great wing position and processing. I would prefer a landscape crop too if possible. Did you shoot vertically?

Hi Dave, good flying posture, sharp, with good light and colours. Im not too fond of all the white FG, so I can see a horizontal with just a touch of the white FG running along the bottom of the frame. There is a funny mark between the wing tips??

Thanks everyone for the comments. They are always helpful. I am really trying to include habitat in my postings, and it is good to learn what others like.

Alan this is a vertical cropped from a horizontal.

Very good catch Stuart. The mark is not there in the RAW so I must have grabbed a bit of wing when blanking out patches of sky.

Terrific wing position, sharpness, and detail.
