I got my shoes sucked off in the mud! Taken in Maine.
Canon 500 + 1.4, ISO 500, 1/1600, F9, manual exp.
I would like your critique please.

You have brought things together very well here Sandy. The worm and detail in the mouth of the bird really make this work. Good DoF and SS combo has provided good IQ. The comp also is good from my perspective. The lighting seems a bit harsh and the background a tad busy but still an excellent capture. You might be able to lighten the rear end of the bird a bit.

Good comments from Dan. Excellent timing. Yes to the harsh light/high contrast. I might try to tone down the whites on the neck to see if I could bring back in a bit more detail.

Very nice behavior shot. Very good comments already given. I know it is very hard to get a bit lower in such conditions but it almost always makes for a better photo when possible.

Nice action/behavior captured, Sandy. I agree with the above comments. Additionally, I would remove the little curved stick just below the plover's foot. With the harsh light you did well.
