What great eye contact. Very nicely exposed from underneath. It feels just a bit tight for the top wing tips. Looks like a very good choice to me.

I like the underwing view and that the bird is almost looking at you directly. I would desaturate the blue in the sky a bit and crop a bit tighter on the right to get the bird in a true diagonal with the frame,

Thanks Arash, Gail and Dave. Here is the modified version. The blue was brightened and somewhat desaturated.
The bird was moved to the right. It is not perfectly diagonal but close.:S3:

Impressive wing spread, terrific stare, exposure and IQ, Karl. I prefer the comp in the OP.
If at all I had to change the OP, I would add a bit to the top and/or crop just a bit from the right (but not move him to the right as that makes it appear as though he has moved past us)
