Appx. 1.5 months old. Under a dense oak canopy. Removed a very small twig to the left of his head.

Mike:
The eyes are magnetic, really pulls one in. I like the mix of feathers and fuzz, colors in foreground and background, sharp and well exposed.
I might try a subtle vignette to reduce the impact of the OOF foreground a bit.
Really nice!

Mike, great impact and great techs. Darkening the FG slightly as Randy suggested seems like a good idea to me.

Awesome capture and composition, Mike! Love eyes, textures, color combination, beautiful! The only thing I might try is to even out the BG above the head a bit. Nice work!

I like the stare and the environment.
It seems a bit over saturated and bright, but nice image and a great find.

This is a nice and sharp shot of this little owl, like all of the colors and the moss. I would not have thought of it but I like Randy's suggestion of a slight vignette.

An excellent image Mike, with great eye contact and good sharpness (especially considering the SS and monopod). FG darkening seems like a good idea.
