Had this Kingfisher posing beautifully for me, but the lighting conditions not perfect, what would life be without a little challenge :w3

A really beautiful shot, I appreciate the highlights in the background are natural, but I would be tempted to brush them to make them less apparent and the bird would look even better.

This shot works for me Craig, light from side/behind showing the bird off very well...
Never found highlights in bg intrusive but perhaps worth trying out darkening suggestion?

Beautiful bird and excellent detail!

Bird looks a bit dark except for rim light ... a touch of fill flash may have been useful here.

Mike you are correct about using fill flash, may have scared away the bird with my first shot :-(
