I am having trouble posting a larger photo of 1024 on longest side. I PP my photos in Elements 10 and upload to Photobucket or FLICKr. When i grab one to post it is resized to a smaller size. Any suggestions for posting photos

What size are you trying to upload (pixel dimensions and file size)? We allow 1024 pixels in width and 800 pixels in height.

There are 3 limits: max 1024 wide, 800 high, and 350 kbytes. Please make sure your 1024x800 image is less than 350 kbytes.

Small correction, it's 250 kbytes :-)

Robert, in elements, after resizing, use save for web option and use quality slider to get the size inside 250kb. at times, you can get away with quality 90+...but for photos with lots of details, you might need to go low into the 80s or even 70s.

Thanks Daniel.

Is that a participant versus member thing?

Thanks for the info, i always go to the web in elements for resizing, my problem is posting here after i place my photos on FLICKR or Photobucket. They change the size and when i post the size is much smaller than you want. However with some expiriment, i was able to a BB code in FLICKr and post at 1024.

Hey Roger, that is the same limit for everyone.

Robert, glad you were able to sort out your troubles!

Daniel,
Oops, you are right. The 350kb I was thinking is for a local photo club. We raised the BPN limit from 200 to 250 last September.
