Very sharp and nicely exposed. Good eye contact. And I like the tiny splash in the water. Near wing position is good, but I'm not crazy about the far wing touching the head. Since it's a takeoff pose, I'd consider moving the bird down in the frame.

I agree with Doug -- the rear wing angle isn't optimal for my taste. HA is good (actually body angle). Any other images in the takeoff sequence that might be a little better WA (wing angle ;-)

A bit more separation between the far wing and the head would have been nice. I would also try to lighten the near wing with some dodge/burn to show more of the details. If you move the bird down in the frame you will loose the splash!

Nice flight shot, Frank. I like the water as a background. Based on the lines on the water, it might need a bit of rotation.
