I was almost too close for this one, I attempted to focus and recompose but didn't quite pan down enough to get all the perch into the frame.

I processed this one using tips from John Chardine with regards to sharpening so I will be interested to see what everyone thinks about it.

Joel, nice portrait with a dreamy background. Exposure and color look great. The sharpening looks good to me, but as you know at this distance and aperture your DOF is virtually nothing. While the eye is sharp along with some of the plumage that is in the same plane, there isn't much else in focus. Luckily, there is enough detail in the head, neck, and chest area to carry the image.
