WOW!! nice one patrick. i like the simplicity of the photo. very nicely done. i think a crop from the top would make it even better.

Patrick, simply lovely image, love the colors, composition and head angle on Mr. bird. For my preference, you might want to add a little canvas to the right portion of your frame; the tail is too close for comfort. Mr. Davis' suggestion about cropping on top will make your subject stand out more, which is a valid point... try it and see...:D

Could also add lowering the saturation in the reds will help They always come out like that without any help !! Crop wise would like to see the entire flower at the bottom of the frame Like that bg very much !!! Excellent image !!!
