Have you ever gone back to your files and wondered why you didn't work some pretty good images? I find that it is a good idea to return to some subjects with a fresh eye and see some new things. This image represents this thinking.

The image was taken early in the AM just as we descended into the Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania in February 2010. The light was very low which is why I used ISO 1600. 300 F4 at F4 with 1D MK4. Evaluative metering 1/80 on bean bag. Cropped slightly to about 85% of original image.

Love the snarl here Ed, with great eye contact, may crop just a bit more from the right.

Great expression and I like the way he's tucked away in the grass. Good idea to look at old files again.

Ed - always good to revisit files especially as our PP skills improve. Like the snarl, eye contact and low pov.

Hi Ed, I find the crop not quite working, it just a little too much to the right with a lot of dead space to the left. Moving the whole crop more to the left and less above I think with give a more dramatic feel and would be in keeping with the snarl. I might also add some contrast, as I also feel with the expression is all gums and no teeth. :bg3:

If you can post bigger that would be great.

I support the crop suggestions above, Ed, and also would like to see this a tad bigger. There's a reason BPN makes the max image width 1024px and not 800px...it looks better! :w3
It does look more like a silly smile than a snarl :e3
