5.55pm.
This is more about documenting the chase, rather than quality of image, as consideration to the extremely low light levels given the time of day.

This puku has been pushed towards her 2 sisters from the Nsefu pride and now in desperation turns yet again and heads for the safety of water.
Would have loved them running towards me rather than away of course. Just realized I should have cropped the dark strip on top perhaps?....bit late now:e3
Another unforgettable chase sequence I was fortunate to witness whilst in Sth Luangwa.

D3s 500VR 1/400s f/4 ISO6400 Nsefu sector, Luangwa river, Sth Luangwa NP- Zambia. Nov 2011 25% crop.

C & C most welcome

Cheers

Lovely sighting and great capture, perhaps a tighter crop or even a pano style crop will make this a bit stronger compositionally.

Marc - you seem to regularly see and capture some incredible action. Brendon's idea of a pano crop sounds like a good alternative.

Powerful action captured here Marc, well done on getting something to show. Incredible for me to see how much sand the lion is kicking up, some serious effort taking place.

Hi Marc,
Great action image, needless to say if it was facing the camera it would be an award winning image :S3:

Marc, if you had the animals coming towards you I doubt if you would have captured the drama as well as this. Perhaps a more 'narrower' crop might work better, echoing the line of the two subjects, either way I might lose the darker banding at the top?

Marc,

Great stuff, my only suggestion would be to go more pano

nice sequence here Marc
looks like a forlorn chase, can't think a lion can outrun a puku :w3
