Weasel captured on farmland Lincolnshire U.K. using a Canon mk4 with 300mm f2.8 with 2.0ex handheld.
Little work done in photoshop sharping / temp tweak.
s/s 1/800 f5.6. iso 500.

niceone Don,if mine would add a bit more to bottom of frame,and maybe lighten the face a biton the lefthand side,and a tad of sturation,but well done getting this shot,they dont hang about so long,always on the move.

Lucky to nail these little guys, they are fast and rarely hang around as Chris mentioned, so congratulations on getting this one.

Certainly if you have more image below I would use it and adjust the crop accordingly, as it's a little too tight. If you could, a lower POV would have been better, as looking down at your subject is not always ideal. Both colour & detail look good, but might tweak the Levels adjustment in bringing in both left and right sliders to meet the base line ie 6 & 250 as it just adds a little to the image IMHO.

Good suggestions, and very nice to see a weasel. I would imagine that they would be very difficult to capture. Would love a bit more space at the bottom, but those things have been covered.

I love the pose and fur detail. I agree about bringing out the side of the face and the levels adjustment. There is one light blade of grass in the background intersecting the head that I wish wasn't there. Tough species to photograph!

Good suggestions above. When i see tall in the frame I think vertical and a vertical crop would suit this better then the loser horizontal crop. The right side of the image does not add and only distracts from the center of interest.
