Another from Ecuador. This large owl would show up every night and perch by the large lights at the entrance to the lodge looking for large insects that were attracted by the lights. On one night he/she swooped at an insect and came with 4 feet of us then flew right over our heads. In the morning other birds would show up to eat the insects that were still gathered. Used a flashlight to get focus. I had to work on the eyes a bit as they showed some steel-eye. I would be interested to hear opinions on how the eyes look.

Very nicely done! The species is fantastic and you did a great job fixing the red eyes. Cheers!

Nice image Roy! I like the pose, perch and composition. The eyes look good to me. Did you have another flash light up the BG?
