This is really nice but I would have loved to have seen him looking head on. Great sharpness and nice DOF.

Sharpness and details look excellent and the BG is great. The colors look great also.

The Bfly position up against the bottom edge of the frame really hurts the image. Normally this would be a perfect example of a vertical image.
Also when cropping its also a good idea to have slightly more room at the bottom than the top.

Thank you for the feedback everyone, strangely enough I did originally put the image at an angle - but then I thought, no present it as it was!

Lovely, but I would place the subject a little higher in the frame and run some noise reduction in the background.

What a beautiful butterfly Jon!! Good exposre and and fine deatil. Agree with other comments regarding the composition. Good find!!

What they said. The first thing that caught my eye was the downward angle of the butterfly and it didn't feel right to me. I see others are saying the same thing. Otherwise, I think it is a beautiful image of a beautiful butterfly. Great color. Very sharp.

Hey Jon, like the comp and agree with adding more on the bottom. Good details, colors, and BG.

lovely colourful image. just wondering if f11 might have brought out better details in the upper wing...?
