This was taken last spring in the salt marshes of st. petersburg, FL.

How big is that little guy he looks tiny!! Love Bfly, the perch and the BG but i really wish that dried bloom was alive.

I think its around 1/5" of an inch. I thought the dead flower made it unique:). I like the range of subdued browns and greens. Unfortunetly these guys depend on salt marshes which are few and far between in my area due to development and a number of other factors.

Lovely little butterfly Chad, well exposed and sharp detail. The soft green/yellow BG is a perfect back-drop for this subject.
I think I would have included just the single leaf and Bfly though for a more simple composition.

I think the elements of this composition are all very good. But what I see here is a plant with a butterfly as opposed to a butterfly on a plant, if that makes sense. The plant dominates and the blue is secondary element. Not that that is necessarily bad. Just not what I expected.
