Nikon D300s + Nikon 300 f/4, handheld. SB-700 for fill flash. Taken while doing some "feeder" shots. This fellow wanted to get a closer look at me.

Real nice shot. I love the background, great detail, and real nice jo on the flash. I wish the wings were'nt clipped and a better head angle, but still a shot I would be happy with.

Thank you Robert. Definitely a bummer about those wings getting clipped. Sometimes being real close has its drawbacks. I was happy to get the face area nice and sharp but he was so close I couldn't frame the whole body. 200mm (or @ 250 if I had a zoom in that range) would have been about perfect. As for the fill light - I like the results though I think it would have been better if the flash was set for just a bit less intensity.
