I was photographing a Mottled duck when this resting NS took off from near by vegetation and I was lucky to have kept both eyes open.

Hand Held. In PP added some canvas at bottom apart from cropping and selective sharpening and level adjustments. Not sure if I should keep or clone out the water drops.

Critics and Comments welcome.

Well, the pose is terrific, as are the colors, but the bird is a little soft, perhaps as the result of hand-holding such a lens?

good eye contact and wing position, I wish you were a bit higher with respect to shoveler

I think the original is sharp, this one is just not sharpened properly, here is a repost.

Great pose and capture - Arash's sharpened version brings the image out.

Repost looks good.I would decrease the brightness in the legs or clone out the specular highlights. Great wing position and I would leave the drops in,

Hi Sachin, great flying posture, and I do like the varied colours on the shoveler. Arash has shown what can be done, and I would leave the droplets too.

Lovely exposure and a nice job freezing this dynamic pose. Looks like this guy is fully dressed for prom :) (most of the ones I've captured locally seem to be in a pre-nuptial molt :-)
+1 to leaving the drops in. If he'd given you a look-back, that would've taken this up another few notches imo.
Nice work, Sachin.
