I had great luck with the GGO's last fall. It took lots of persistance to get this shot with a nice out of focus background. Others taken within a couple of feet of this location showed the typical busy bg in which you find GGO's.

Lucky you, great find, eye contact and BG. It's just a bit too centered for my taste. Keep them coming!

Love the picture, amazing subject.
Why the two catch light on the right eye?

Just beautiful--I would be proud to have it in my files!

A stunner! Beautiful subject, killer background, and beautiful sharp detail. With the direct look and forward-facing pose, I think placing the bird in the center of the frame was the perfect choice. I am jealous of this one!

I am so envious of this fabulous photo. The great gray is the bird of my dreams. And you got this one against a terrific BG. Well done. Not sure how I feel about centering the owl in the frame; I'll have to look at the photo a few more times.

I love this image the way it is, not centering the subgect in this one donīt seem right to me. The eye contact tells the story, and besides, as you mentioned, the BG is not busy which is great.

Stunning image, presented perfectly. I wish we had owls here in Australia that presented themselves like this in daylight hours.

Love everything about it; except that Mr. Owl is smack in the center of the frame. Needs to be off center...

Dead center in a portrait, works for me.
Beautiful Image!
