From January, 2009, Nickerson Beach. I'm certain that some may not care for the snow fence. It's a common element on the beaches where I live and since the owl was making use of it for some shelter from the wind (evidenced by the blowing feathers on her face), I have embraced it as part of the scene.
Thank you for looking and for your comments.

The bird and the light are beautiful. And I am glad that the fence was helping to shelter her--I think that it is a her. But I would have wished for a much cleaner setting all around.

A lovely image. I like the composition with the bird on the left and the diagonal lines of dune. In a perfect world the fence wouldn't be there but not a deal breaker for me. I think it is almost impossible for anyone to dislike a snowie image. They are soooo beautiful,

The sand, BG and bird make up for the fence. It doesn't bother me, I would be very happy to get a photo like this.

Grace, This is a wonderful find. I don't mind the inclusion of the snow fence. Beautiful light and the soft background colors are appealing.

Superb exposure, great light and the detail and IQ are really good . I like the scene you have conveyed as is and I have no issue with the fence its aesthetically pleasing, human elements are out there and part of many of the scenes in which we see our natural animals. I would maybe just take off the topp to get rid of the light are and go with the uniform BG colors.... TFS Grace

Excellent picture and good decision about the fence.
Overall composition is great and I like that you did not clean the beach from the little rocks either.
Sometimes I'm bored of the too sterile carefully cleaned pictures.
