I don't do a lot of this type of work, so all thoughts are greatly appreciated. I liked the pastel hues for this image.

Thanks for posting this Dave.

I do a lot of these types on images and feel you handled this exceptionally well.

I agree, colors are quite inviting.

I like the framing and balancing the pilings with the bright sun area on the left.

I will sometimes create a mask on my sharpening layer and mask to black the long horizontal line you see at the horizon. I find that a typical affect in these types of images.

Dave, I've been thinking of heading down there for some time and this image has convinced me it's time to go! Lovely capture and processing. The colors are terrific.

Hi Dave

So you only like the pastel hues...? Well I love em, especially in this shot. I think its the colours that make this image. My only nit is that I am not a great fan of very long exposures of water that makes it look more like fog than water IMHO. That's just me however as many love this effect.

Thanks for showing

Thank you everyone for the encouraging words. Yes the soft water is a matter of personal taste and I have seen images of this pier done both ways equally well. Denise, if you decide to visit Ocean City at some point, Eileen and I would love to finally meet you in person.

Dave, I would love to go there with both of you. Maybe your son could go too. I was thinking late Feb. Maybe the 26th unless you folks could go during the week.

Denise, that would make us very happy. With Eileen and I both retired now, we could make it pretty much any day. Mike is a hit or miss and maybe could adjust his schedule. We'll keep in touch.

Nice work Dave. I too think the pastels are terrific. My only suggestion would be to crop a little off the bottom, just up to the point where the post reflections begin.

Thanks Norm, I have thought about that very crop, but I'm still undecided. It would definately move that horizon a bit farther from the center.

Hi Dave, I love evrything about this image. Very nicely framed and an excellent choice to go with the long exposure. The water turned out beautiful. Nice one!
