Happy Hippo?

This Hippo was thoroughly enjoying himself playing in "his" lake and definitely showing of for us visitors, and certainly helped us pass the time whilst waiting for Wild Dog reveille.

I think I would have preferred a bit more room in the rear, but all in all nicely done. Looks like he just clamped the mouth closed, hence the water squirting out - I like that capture of the decisive moment.

Agree on more room on the left, the water movement and clamp down are both well portrayed here Ken.

I like the water splash and I think he is gargling and swishing! A bit tight on the left as others have mentioned. I like the pano crop.This guy has had a few battle scars on his back which is cool to see.

I know what you are saying Ken. Happens to me all the time, pan too faster or too slow and clip the subject. It was nice that this one worked out from you. Thanks for the feedback

Ken - I agree about the lhs but the detail and water movement make for a nice image here. It conveys a sense of the hippo's power in the water.
