Excellent exposure, sharpness, background. There is too much room to the right. Great looking bird.

A great picture. Maybe a vertical crop. A little too much space on the right side. Great IQ and BG:S3:

Excellent image Holger! I see this as a vertical as well. I like the IQ and complimentary BG.

Lovely capture. Maybe a vertical comp would have been a little better ( form me anyway )

Welcome aboard. great first pose to start. I am liking the horizontal with all the space. Details in the bird are great. Bg is as good as it gets. You nailed the perfect head position. Well done. Looking forward to more.

The nice soft light really comes through nicely on this one. Good job on the bit of habitat and very complimentary colors. I also side with some off the right side. Looking forward to more.

Excellent start, I like the image as presented. On the right the foreground is clear and the background is wonderfully soft.
I always think the extra space gives an image a sense of solitude and with the soft background the image is so peaceful.
The only thing I'd work on is dark diagonal band in the lower right, this creates some tension which doesn't really fit. I
might even take a little off the left.

I think it is a super shot it is not very often you see shots pin sharp throughout the length of this bird species. I appreciate it was foggy but would suggest the image is perhaps a little bright. I attach an alternative for your consideration.

Thx all for the warm welcome and also for the comments to my first picture.
I really like the high level of photographers in this forum...

@jonathan - nice version - will look into a bit darker finish for the original picture aswell.
