This is a setup. Nikon D700, 1.4tc, 300mm f2.8, tripod. 1/1000, f7.1, iso 640. Adjusted exposure, wb, clarity in acr. Small curves and small s/h and usm in cs3.

The perch is a madonna lily seed pod. Time 10:10 am.

This is a fine looking set up, there appears to be a little noise in the image but nothing excessive. I like the composition and the complimentary colours. You may wish considering brightening the eye a little bit. The tail is behind one of the stems, but does it really matter?

Jack, yes to an awesome setup. loved the image design and the BG. the symmetry of the pods makes this one extra special. Well done.

What a nice shot Jack. The overall gold tone is perfect for this bird. A very natural looking set up shot to me.

Great shot. As for the tail behind the stem, I actually prefer that as it looks less "posed". Beautiful.
