One of the highlights whilst staying @ Tafika camp is an early morning flight over the Luangwa River via micro light, nothing like it to clear the cobwebs! :bg3:

D700 70-200 VRII 1/1600s f/5.6 ISO1600 @180mm. 20% crop. Sth Luangwa NP- Zambia Nov 2011

Marc,

Interesting perspective on this one, the light is certainly different!

Just wondering if a tighter crop maybe more effective, I am also sure that somebody may suggest cloning out the white spots on the water.

Love the ripples:cheers:

Marc - interesting to see shots taken from the microlight. I am not sure about the comp. I think I would prefer more below than above as it appears he is moving in the direction of the llc.

Marc,

Brilliant composition. As Ken suggested I might go for cloning the white spots. Also I really like the view/shooting angle that shows full hippo.

Excellent work.

Hi Marc, for me this is more about the setting/scene, therefore I wonder if bumping up the Saturation might give more depth/punch to the overall feel, but excluding/masking the Hippo. However as you were there, you know the look & feel you want to convey.

Certainly the micro light will be more gentle first thing in the morning than stepping onto the skid of a chopper. :bg3:

Nicely done.

This is super cool Marc! Just love how the light hits the hippo and the water immediately surrounding it...great mood, can't wait to see more from this "flip"...:bg3:
