Another photo from my recent photo trip to Ecuador with Glenn Bartley. Yesterday I posted a similar image but wondered about bill inside the flower vs outside. Also, several comments suggested looking at a pano crop. So here is the result.

This is a common and entertaining species in the Tandayapa region - perhaps the hummingbird "capital" of South America. Multi-flash setup engineered by Glenn. All C&C welcome and appreciated. Feel free to PM me for info about the trip.

Canon 1D Mark IV, 500mm f/4L, ISO:400, f/8@1/250, Manual, One Shot AF, evaluative metering, Gitzo 3530LS, leveling head, Jobu HD2, PP: levels, Topaz InFocus, crop from top, bottom, left and right.

Hi Dan,
I prefer the first image as a pano crop. I think the hummingbird is sharper in the first image. I also like the wing position better in the first one.

Hi Dan,

Perhaps this image could use a tiny bit more sharpening but overall you must have been very pleased with this. What a gorgeous bird and those wonderful tail feathers...wow...
Looks like you have had a great time with Glenn.

Greetings,

Wow, this is fantastic! Looks like I may need to get myself on one of Glenn's trips...

Nice image Dan! I prefer the other post over this one. Did you do a pano crop on the other image. I would still love to have this in my files. Look forward to more.
