For anyone at latitudes above about 45 to 50 degrees north: there is a high probability of aurora tonight and the next couple of nights. A tripod mounted wide angle fast lens at moderately high iso and 10 to 30 second exposures should capture the aurora and its colors if present. You must get away from city lights.

The main particles from the sun causing the aurora went north over the earth, so it is less likely for aurora in far southern latitudes, but still possible.

Good luck.

Andrew,
Check this site: http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/wingkp/24_hour.html
When the Kp index goes near or above the line, the chance of aurora is high. Unfortunately, it has been dropping the last couple of hours. But may go up again.
You are far enough north that you have a chance. If the Kp reaches 6 or higher, there may be a chance for Colorado. When I lived in Seattle, I used to see aurora about once a month during solar max, often from in the city.
