Excellent job on the blacks! Super pose and the requisite glint in the eye!!

You did very well with what you had to work with here. The raptor looks great. Very well exposed and sharp. Love the way he is looking toward you and glad to see a catch light. Wish you didn't have such a steep angle but that obviously couldn't be helped. I might consider a tad more on top.

You did great job with exposure for this one...Excellent feather details. I wish that branch in BG was not cutting the head of the bird...I agree with Marina about steep angle.

Nice shot! Where is located Playa Negra? In which country? I did not know this raptor before.

Hi Yves

Playa Negra is to be found near Puerto Viejo, Southern Caribbean zone of Costa Rica - sorry I usually put CR!

Very nice shot Rich, I agree you have done a great job with the plumage. Regards the eye I presume you feel there are too many highlights? There are a number of different ways to fix that probably the easiest/only way using DPP is a little cloning but you will need to go in on a high magnification.

What an amazing looking raptor. Love the plumage and details within. I am OK with the angle. My eye is drawn to the branch that goes through the head. I would tone it down if possible or clone it out if you are not averse to it,

Have seen them in Arizona, US. Great photo. I like those white tail tips that identify it.
