Snowy Egret captured at the Salton Sea. Early morning, sneaking up on them slowly to get this close. I had to add a little bit of canvas to the top, as the bird was cramped in the frame a bit.

Beautiful image, Kerry. Amazingly sharp, especially since it was handheld. And I love the vivid contrast between the egret and the blue sea.

Kerry:
You have to love those golden slippers, nice lores, feather detail and blue background. Nice angle in the frame.

Wonderful image Kerry. You certainly made the most of early morning light to capture the white feathers. The next time I get up before dawn to photograph birds, I'll think of your picture.
