Most of my shooting lately is from big bodies of water as all the smaller pond are frozen.
D300 with AF-S 300mm 2.8 VR with TC 1.4E.
F 5.6 , 1/2000, iso 500.
Thank you for looking.

Hi Carmelo,
Nice image. I think you can post it a bit larger- 1024 x 800. Very sharp and nice clean BG. Nice downward wing pose as well. I have never noticed the green sheen on the back of a merganser head so thanks for showing that. I like the composition as well,
Gail

What a prety merganse. Great pose color and detail. I would like a tighter crop if possible.

Fine image and excellent wing position. For my taste the size and position in the frame is good, I too would like to have seen a larger image.

This is a spectacular flight shot of a speeding bullet bird, Carmelo.
The lkerger version brings out all the details and colour so much better!
It is nice to see your work here as well.

Very nice BIF pose, I prefer the IQ of the OP.

Hi Carmelo, great flying posure with the full downstoke of the wing captured, and you show off the variety of colours nicely. Good clean water BG, and comp wise, I would move the duck higher in the frame.
