I very much like the colors throughout the image and the pose of the sparrow. The background is wonderful, too.

Hi maureen....I like the bg and the soft feather detail. You might try darkening the legs and feet just a bit.

Maureen, I love this. Great job with the sharpness and the textures. I might darken the perch a teeny bit if it were mine.

Thanks Dennis, Bob and Denise. Here is a reworked version incorporating your suggestions. Better?

Nice image and application, Maureen.

Like the first one, but also the second! :w3

I'm not sure about the legs and feet, but darkening the branch a bit was a good idea -- it helps to ground the image.

Hi Maureen;

Love them both, but give the edge to #1 as it has a softness that is appealing to me.

Super application.

The 2nd image is very good but there is a subtle brightness & clarity about the 1st one that appeals to me more. Bkgd textures are great.

I'd give 2 my vote because of the branch/feet redo. Beautiful bird. What data?

Interesting comments. Thanks.

I was going for a softer look, so I prefer the OP. But I do also like the perch darker. So, I may rework this one again :S3:

Lovely composition, Maureen. I love the soft colors of the OP. Nicely done!
