A warm and happy new year from South Africa....this image was my last for 2011 through the Knysna Heads. Single exposure , no filters with minor PS work.......I have multiple exposures for blending later but this one is what i enjoyed the most. Canon 5D MK 2 , 16-25 MK 2 @16 mm , Tripod , timer release , F 11 , ISO 400 , 30 Sec .

Wow, very nice, Andrew! Great looking comp, love the rich color and softness to water. The star points are a nice touch too. Must have been awesome to see in person, well done getting it all in a single exposure. I do wish for just a bit more space below if you have any or maybe remove rock in LRC? Beautiful end of year image, Happy New Year!

hey Andrew, I really like the soft "feel" here and the overall mood and colours.
good comp - not sure a blend will improve this but am curious to see this with a bit more FG detail...
happy wishes to you and the family for 2012!

Lovely photo, maybe just a bit over saturated?
The detail is fine for me. Looks ethereal.

Andrew,

I agree with the above comments. I would also like to see more detail in the FG and did a repost using Shadow/Highlight adjustment in PSCS5

Hey Andrew, lovely scene. Robert's repost works a little better for me with more detail showing in the FG. I might tone down the yellows a touch, but otherwise I like it the way it is. All the best to you in 2012.

Thanks for the great feedback. Great repost Robert. I will play with increasing fg detail. As for the comp , this is taken from a rock with a clear 15 ft drop to the water about a meter in front so re framing wouldn't work. I did try diff focal lengths but settled on this. I think for a print the over saturating wont be an issue but agree on the on screen version :) The same goes for the LRHS rock.it may just have to disappear :Whoa!:

I love the colors just as they are... if one of your alternative exposures for blending gives a little more detail on the rocks in the fg, I think it'll be an even more stunning photo, but it's really gorgeous as is.
