Sorry for lack of posts lately folks. Been swamped. Finally getting a few days to lay low. Spent this morning in the blind for winter songbirds. Winter has finally arrived to these parts, with -20 Celsius temps and 6-8 inches of snow on the ground. Here is a Black-capped Chickadee that I captured one day last week from the blind. I thought it would kinda neat as a fractalius. A small crop from the right seemed to work better for the fracted version.

Look forward to comments.

This is great, Andrew, cute bird and pose, love the frac treatment, and the branches really add nicely to the whole composition. Well done, sir!

Very nice, Andrew. Super background, and the chickadee looks great. Although I really like what the branches add to the image, my own preference would be to subdue them somewhat.

Andrew, this image is Fabulous. Love the image comp with the radiating branches. The colors are spot on with a great pose and eye contact. The FRAC work just adds up to make this a special image. Out of the park!

One of the best renditions of a chickadee. The fractilus is not overdone, just right. It somehow fits the bird's personality. I do agree with Dennis, however, that the branch should be less prominent.
