Hi Guys

We have had a few hot days over our Christmas break (100F +) and many families escape to the beach to cool off in the evening, so this image is a typical scene on the west coast of OZ this time of year. Some of us dream of white Christmas's....

This image is my first time attempting to blend 3 images together to deal with the extreme lighting and retain beach detail without washing out the sky...

1D4 + Zeiss 18mm manual lens + cir pol filter
1/25, 1/60 & 1/125 sec @ F9
ISO 100
Bean Bag and remote release...

Don,

I feel you handled the blend well. Looks very natural. An appealing beach scene. I like it.

Hi Don, lovely beach scene. I like the rays of light in the sky best. We are having a few very cold nights over this way, -25 Celsius tonight.:S3:

Don - sorry a little late to this one. Nice scene and it conveys a sense of warmth. I too like the rays of light and I think the people in the fg add to the image.

TFS,
Rachel
