Here is a photo of an Osprey from a few days ago. I went with this unusual crop to bring the vertical feeling to a better level. Let me know what you think. Comments are welcome.

I like the pano crop too, and the head-down "scanning for fish" pose is fine with me. Some whites on the head are clipped, I'm sure you can tame those nicely during raw conversion...

Right about the clipped whites, Daniel. Only at the end of my workflow I converted to sRGB; than it must have happened.

As is the case with almost everyone else, I like the pano crop. It works well for the bird with outstretched wings...reminds me of a similar crop that was used in a photo of a jet fighter. As for the head angle, I like that too. You caught the bird doing his thing and not worrying about someone with a camera. Plus, ospreys almost always look at you when you get their attention so that type of head angle is very common. Good, unique work.
