They were returning home that late evening. The light was fading fast, I saw the rain in the bg.
Image was shot in color in RAW, converted to B/W in DPP and levels/curves adjustments were done in CS5.
EOS 1DMK4 , 300 mm, f/8, 1/100, ISO 400, 1-shot AF, 10% crop from left to eliminate another Ele.
Serengeti, Tanzania.
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to you and yours !
Am off to Death Valley to shoot some Landscapes. See you in a bit.

Gotta love the rain showered sky BG Kiran, would only wish the ele's to be closer to the horizon line (giving 1/3 comp)
Would be happy to have this in my files and nice use of B&W treatment, curious to see this in colour as well.

Nice perspective of making the elephants look small in the vastness of their environment. Looks like some nice drama in the sky and I also like the inclusion of the two trees on the horizon.

I really like this. Makes me appreciate the vast environment. I like the comp as well,

Kiran - Nice conversion and I like the simplicity of this. I would crop some of the sky, leaving just a bit of sky above the rain.

I love the mood here Kiranbhai...
Perhaps play around with a bit of dodging and burning to add more tonal depth? :e3
Color makes no sense sometimes.
I cannot agree more :w3:5

You have created a wonderful mood with this image, may crop a little off the sky if this was my image :S3:
