Here is another image of the Tanager. This was taken at a setup in Costa Rica. The lighting was even tougher for this image and I was happy to get this one. The branch was originally parallel to the camera but became lose and moved. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

A much better pose considering the limited light. Well done!

JIm, incredible bird and great shot of it. loved the pose, HA and the clean BG. colors are out of the world. Size and placement of the subject are perfect IMO. the OOF part of the perch does not bother me at all...since it is behind the bird. Masterfully executed.

Light seems much more harsh in this one. Still a fine image , but the softer light works better on this bird , IMHO. Great perch.

A perfect setup Jim. I love that pose, great detail, nice BG - has it all. Good technique at that SS.

I love this one, Jim. What a paint by numbers bird. Great pose allowing us to admire the full bird. Truly a stunning portrait.

Jim: I really like this image, much nicer than the previous one. You even seem to have a self portrait in the eye!
